Day Five - The Gift That I Can Give
This beautiful book has an important message that we often think little ones are not old enough to understand. The message is that God lives inside of us and that part of our purpose on this earth is to share Him with the entire world. The book “The Gift That I Can Give” teaches our kids that they don’t need to be adults to share God but that He is inside each of them from the beginning.
The book provides beautiful examples of how little kids can share God’s love inside of them with their friends, family, and others around them (people and animals).
What Our Kids Thought
It is also a hardcover book, great for durability. My baby girl loved the glitter on the front cover of this book, and my son loved all the beautiful butterflies. We 😍 this one.
I love that the author is teaching our young kids the concept that the Holy Spirit is inside their hearts and that they can share His Spirit with everyone. Helping our children understand the intimate connection we should all have with Jesus is so important. It’s not a connection we grow into but one he already placed inside us from the beginning.
Summary
This book is meant for ages 2 – 6, which is terrific for establishing this foundational concept. The imagery is beautiful, and the book is oversized, which helps keep the little ones engaged in the story. I was surprised at the size of the book. It is larger than your average baby book and is of good quality.
